CAO is best known for
the beautiful meerschaum pipes they import from Turkey. In addition to this, they
have begun importing a good selection of great tobaccos from the Dan Tobacco Manufacturing
GMBH of Hamburg, Germany. These private label tobaccos are blended in the small
German town of Lauenburg/Elbe in a converted 200 year old grain-malting house overlooking
the Elbe river. This factory provides a perfect year round climate control as half of the
facilities are buried underneath a small mountain!
