Hobbit Day!!

12:00pm - 10:00pm
Saturday, September 22nd we
will be celebrating Bilbo and Frodo's birthday at Just For Him from
12pm-10pm!!! There will be food, LOTR movies and LOTR trivia. This year we
will be watching the animated Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies. There
will be deals on pipes, LOTR merchandise and our Middle Earth Tobaccos.
Dressing up as hobbits or your favorite Middle Earth character is not only
acceptable but encouraged. There will be a prize for the best costume. We will also be unveiling three new
additions to our Middle Earth Pipeweed series!
Pipe Carving Contest!!
Saturday, September
22nd - Saturday, November 10th
September 22nd will be the
start of Just For Him's third amateur pipe carving contest. This contest is
for amateurs only. This is meant to be a fun introduction to pipe making
for those interested in trying their hand at it. If you're not sure which
category you fall under it is simply this: If you have been paid for a pipe
you've made you are considered a professional.
To enter the contest participants will need to purchase one of our Carve
Your Own pipe blocks on or after September 22nd(these blocks are
pre-drilled and come with an unfinished stem), sign up for the contest and
have their picture taken. Contestants must use this block and stem for
their finished pipes. Contestants will have until November 10th to carve
their pipes. All pipes must be brought into the shop for judging on or
before noon on November 10th. The judging will be done by Just For Him staff
and some of our local professional pipe carvers. More information will be
available on September 22nd.
Quesada Cigars
Oktoberfest Party with Manuel Quesada!

Meet Manuel Quesada of the
Quesada Cigar family, enjoy deals on seasonal cigars, buy the Oktoberfest
Dominican and Nicaraguan cigars, enjoy gifts with purchase, raffles and
have wonderful food and paired beer! Manuel will be autographing cigar
boxes for those that purchase! Did we mention that he is in the cigar-maker
hall of fame!!
The big raffle prize is a new
gas grill. (More pics and details to come!)
The Quesada family has
blended a cigar specifically to be paired with the flavorful Marzen-style
beer produced for Oktoberfest. Blended with a variety of flavorful
Dominican tobaccos, the Quesada Oktoberfest is available in very limited
quantities. Enjoy them with your favorite Oktoberfest beer. Only released
during the months close to October.
Pipe Smoking Contest!!
Saturday, October 6th

The 2018 Pipe Smoking Contest
will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 9:00am. For those of you not
familiar with our contest... each contestant is given 1/8 ounce of cube cut
burley, 2 matches and 1 minute to light their pipe. No relights are allowed
and the matches are collected at the end of the 1 minute lighting period.
The winner is the person who is able to smoke the longest. At the end of
the contest prizes are chosen by each contestant in the order of their
placement. For those that entered the Meerschaum Coloring Contest earlier
in the year you must bring your pipe in to be judged. Judging will take
place during the pipe smoking contest.
