Quesada 70th from Cigar Afficionado below:  This April, Manuel
Quesada Jr., patriarch of the Quesada cigar family, turns 70 years old. To
honor this milestone and his storied career in the cigar industry, the
company is releasing a celebratory smoke called the Manuel Quesada 70th,
blended by the man himself.  "My uncle has
dedicated his life to cigars and all of us at Quesada cannot express in
words how proud we are of him," Terence Reilly of Quesada Cigars said.
"Whether you know him well or have never met him personally, smoking
the [Manuel Quesada 70th] gives the aficionado an opportunity to connect
with Manuel through the taste and flavor of this blend. It truly
exemplifies his palate."  The new cigar is
rolled with a Cuban-seed wrapper and Sumatra-seed binder, both grown in the
Dominican Republic. The fillers are from Nicaragua and the Dominican
Republic. The 70th is launching in two sizes: Toro, at 6 inches by 50 ring
gauge, and Belicoso, 6 by 52. Both sizes retail for $12.95 and come in
boxes of 10, of which only 1,000 were produced. |
