Events!!!

This coming Thursday, October 18th is the Beer and Chili Cook Off at Just For Him!  Bring your homemade beer and chili entries and enjoy a free Don Tomas cigar.

The results of the Pipe Smoking Contest and the Meerschaum Coloring Contest are below.

Pipe Smoking Contest

1st Place with a time of 50minutes 32seconds - Jim Milsap

2nd Place with a time of 50 minutes - Josh Leek

3rd Place with a time of 49 minutes 20 seconds - Alan Weaver

Meerschaum Coloring Contest

1st Place - Chris Slater

2nd Place - Jeremy Jackson

3rd Place - Steve Lanyon

We had number of nicely colored meerschaum pipes this year making the decision much harder than in the past few years.

The next Pipe Dinner will be on Friday, December 7th.  Representatives from Music City Marketing will be attending.  They are the importers of Dunhill and Stanwell pipes as well as many others.  Those who attend the dinner will have the opportunity to purchase pipes there at a 25% discount.  There will be a show in the store on Saturday, December 8th where these pipes will be available at a 20% discount.  Tickets for the dinner will most likely go on sale mid to late next week.

The Greater Kansas City Pipe Club will be holding their annual pipe and tobacco show on November 3rd and 4th with pre-show activities beginning on Friday, the 2nd.  We attended last year and it was a good time with a wide variety of pipes and pipe related goods available from individuals, retailers and wholesalers.  If you're interested in pipes I recommend attending.
