Pipe Smoking Contest!!

The 2019 Pipe Smoking Contest will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 9:00am. For those of you not familiar with our contest... each contestant is given 1/8 ounce of cube cut burley, 2 matches and 1 minute to light their pipe. No relights are allowed and the matches are collected at the end of the 1 minute lighting period. The winner is the person who is able to smoke the longest. At the end of the contest prizes are chosen by each contestant in the order of their placement. The entry fee is $10 to be paid upon entry the day of the contest. Cash only, please. The entry fee will be donated to a local charity.
For those that entered the Meerschaum Coloring Contest earlier in the year you must bring your pipe in to be judged. Judging will take place during the pipe smoking contest.

Pipe Tobacco Blending Seminar and Contest With Max Stokkebye!!

Come join Max Stokkebye for a fun filled night of tobacco blending next Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 5 PM. Learn more about your favorite pipe tobacco brands and put your blending skills to the test in a blending competition with prizes for all attendees. Tickets are $20.00 and entries are limited. Attendees will get a certificate, t-shirt, and pipe stand. Max is a 5th generation pipe tobacconist and official Lane & Peter Stokkebye Tobacco Ambassador.

Pipe Carving Contest!!

Just For Him's third amateur pipe carving contest has begun. This contest is for amateurs only. This is meant to be a fun introduction to pipe making for those interested in trying their hand at it. If you're not sure which category you fall under it is simply this: If you have been paid for a pipe you've made you are considered a professional.
To enter the contest participants will need to purchase one of our Carve Your Own pipe blocks(these blocks are pre-drilled and come with an unfinished stem) and sign up for the contest. Contestants must use this block and stem for their finished pipes. Contestants will have until November 9th to carve their pipes. All pipes must be brought into the shop for judging on or before noon on November 9th. The judging will be done by Just For Him staff and some of our local professional pipe carvers.
