There are six
basic lines of Davidoff cigars: Cigarillos and Small Cigars,
Aniversario Series, No.1-3 Tubos and Ambassadrice Series, Thousand Series,
Grand Cru Series, and Special Series. All have superior construction and
are prized for consistency.
The Cigarillos
and other small cigars are all dry cured and have a light
peppery flavor with some sweetness. Uncle Bob says that they are great for
the money.
The Aniversario
Series feature a blending to celebrate the late Zino Davidoff's
80th birthday. Wonderful creamy and spicy flavors as well as a Spanish Cedar Tube
for the No.1 make this line a great medium bodied celebration or gift cigar!
The No.1, No.2,
No.3, Tubos, and Ambassadrice Series (what imaginative marketing!),
is medium bodied and features some sweet peppery flavors and some slight woody
tones.
The Thousand Series
is the lightest blending of the Davidoff line. Light to medium
bodied, this line is a great breakfast cigar with its sweet smoke. If you like
Macanudos then you have to try this one!
The Grand Cru Series
is perhaps the richest blending of this exclusive brand.
Smacking of Cuba, this medium to rich cigar is sweet, smooth, spicy, and rather
potent! Good for what ails you!!
The Special Series
features some more unusual shapes including a torpedo ("T") and
the always odd yet entertaining culebra. It also offers the only robusto ("R" which
is the most popular of the Davidoff Cigars) and a great double corona which is
Bert's favorite; the Double "R". This medium bodied and creamy cigar has some
nice spicy and light coffee tones. These wonderful smokes are hard to beat
at any price!
Uncle Bob says
that this cigar is not for everyone, yet really is not so expensive
when compared to many untried lines that have so recently appeared on the scene. If
you love quality and consistency, then this is the brand for you!
